I can sew... SORT OF...

So Ashley #1 and I took a sewing class last night. I must say I thought I would be a tad bit better- who knew sewing was so hard. Well I was the only one in class the instructor had to pull "Jack the Ripper" out on- not once, not twice, not three times, oh yes four times!! I just couldn't keep a straight line and couldn't keep a 1/4'' seam. Even though I was the last to leave and will be the first arriving tonight to catch up it was very fun!! I thought it was very relaxing and time flew by. I loved it.

I am learning to sew John- John's and the other Ashley is sewing A line dresses and then she is going to teach me how to sew the dress. I will be making only dresses for a while but one of us needed to know how to make the John John. I am very excited about going back tonight. I get a sewing machine this weekend for my birthday and I don't think I am ever going to stop sewing. I will put pictures up of our outfits we made in class and then future ones.

Soriano Sick House

So Sydney woke up Tuesday night at 9:30 so sick. My biggest fear was her becoming dehydrated and us having to rush her to the hospital!! I don't know what I would do if Jason was not a calm person. So she woke up every hour getting sick- would not drink anything. Jason and his wonderful fatherly self went to Winn dixie to get some Pedialyte popsicles. Sydney loved these which made me feel better because we were finally getting liquid into her and this meant no hospital. Well she finally fell asleep (next to me) I was not putting her back in the crib after she had been sick.

2:00 a.m. rolls around and now I am sick. I have never been this sick ever. I knew exactly how Sydney felt which made me feel even worse. I could not drink anything- Jason kept bringing me popsicles and gatorade. I felt terrible! I slept all day yesterday. This morning when I woke up I felt bad but now I feel a little stir crazy and am missing work! I feel bad about missing work today because I need Monday off - we have a neurologist appointment!! Syndey has not had any more seizures since the day after she was born- which is a miracle!! I will let everyone know how the appoitment goes!

Birthday Party

So Sydney's Birthday Party is next weekend- how exciting. She is going to be one, that is so crazy to even think about. Time has gone by way too fast!!!!! We have all the decorations, outfit, cake, cookies everything ordered- just have to wait for everything to be delivered and pray it all gets here in time and is exactly what we wanted (well what i wanted). Jason is good for the "uh huh", "sounds good".

I have such a busy week next week!!! Monday I ave a follow up dr. appt. after the surgery which I can say I feel 100% better, you would hope such an expensive surgery would make you feel better and it did! Tuesday I have to work until 5 and then have a sewing class from 6- 9 (yay!!) Wednesday is Sydney's first birthday. Thursday- work Friday- work and Paddy Murphy. Saturday- set up for party go back to Auburn and go to Paddy Murphy again Sunday- The BIG FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY!!! I have been planning this party since Sydney was born!!!

Beautiful, FUN day yesterday!!

Yesterday Jason and I went and got little Syd from my parents and took her to the park with the dogs, Ashley, and Blake. We set up a picnic and had subway sandwiches while the dogs and Sydney ran around. Sydney had the best time. She loved being able to run around and chase the dogs. She loved it when we started chasing her and then started running the other way for her to chase us! She has the best personality of any one her age I have ever been around!!

We are planning her birthday party that is in 3 weeks!! Her birthday is in 16 days- it's crazy to think how big and uncomfortable I was a year ago and now my little girl is running around and talking. You have no idea how fast everything has gone by.

better all week!

So I posted how stressful my day was earlier this week, WELL... it got so much better. I think the little one was a little sick and now he feels better! He is the sweetest baby. he is the only one I have today since Jason just came and got Syd to spend the day with her. Jason has been doing that lately and it's so sweet how now he just shows up to get her and they play all day long.

Where I work they have a slide and a ball pit which is what little Syd is getting for her birthday!!! She loves it. She also loves Harrison- it's a mutual love!!! Harrison woke up this morning before going to school to play with her and he didn't want to leave his "Ninny" to go to school. You would think they were brother and sister if you saw them together!! They both have red hair and big blue eyes!!

Tonight Jason and I are watching Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and even maybe The Chamber of Secrets- you see, I just finished all the books so now I have to watch the movies and then re-read the books I'm addicted!!!

Stressful Day

Today was a very stressful day!! Where do I start lets just say the littlest one I watch was not very happy today! He kept crying and wanted to be held all day! All I can do after the surgery is hold in a little bit for a little while or else my back starts hurting really bad. So lets just say that did not make him too happy with me or anyone else. I hope tomorrow is better!! All I can do is pray that tomorrow is better! I am so HAPPY for Ashley and Blake. They are going to have a precious little girl that they will soon realize is the most amazing experience in the world. Ashley got an embroidery machine for Christmas and I am getting a sewing machine for my birthday. We are both going to take classes to learn how to use our machines and then take lessons on sewing with our machines. We are going to practice extra hard and then once we get good enough start sewing infant and toddler clothes. We are then going to start our own website and sell the clothes and monogram them. We hope this plan works out- I really hope this plan works out. I have always loved making and creating things and I love this idea. So once the clothes get made and they look good if you have any clothes you want made let us know!!
